MoonCake Studio is a relatively new name, founded in 2025, but its approach is already quite specific. Instead of treating the theme as decoration around a slot, the studio says its games start with the story and then build the mechanics and maths around it. That is an interesting choice in a market where many releases still work the other way around. We’ll be watching to see whether MoonCake can turn that narrative-first approach into a consistent visual and gameplay identity as more titles arrive.
